Our Projects
The McAdenville Woman’s Club is focused on improving our community through fundraising and volunteerism.
 
Our fundraising events include the ChristmasTown 5K and our annual ChristmasTown shirt sale. Through these projects we are able to provide community assistance and support. 

Some of our recent and on-going projects include:
 
  • Diamond Corporate Sponsor of Dream Center Academy

  • Funding for CaroMont Health initiative to replace mobile mammogram unit

  • Replaced benches in front of McAdenville Elementary School

  • Funding for McAdenville resident representing North Carolina in the United States Special Olympics

  • Carolina Thread Trail support including completion of the Kilby Elkins Memorial Bridge

  • Installed two Little Free Libraries in several areas of McAdenville

  • Paid the electric bill for a family in our community with three children who were in desperate need

  • "Feed the Children" donation to provide children food over school break

  • Sponsored two families in Asheville through the CLT Foundation to provide Christmas for Helene victims who lost everything

  • Support for The Lighthouse Children's Advocacy Center

  • Support for Catherine's House, a local shelter for women and children

  • Supported the Stuart W Cramer High School Battle of the Books team's entry into the state finals of the competition

  • New uniform pieces for Stuart W Cramer High School Marching Band

  • Hygiene and dental supplies for McAdenville Elementary School

  • Sponsorship of Gaston YMCA sports teams 

  • Financial support for a local family dealing with an unexpected illness

  • Christmas presents for foster children in our area through Least of These Carolinas

  • Cornhole and indoor bowling set to a local nursing home

  • Funding for the Gaston County Education Foundation 

  • Support of a local family living in a local motel due to financial hardships

  • Building of 2 canoe launches in McAdenville

  • Scholarships for deserving college students in our area

  • Support of the Catawba Riverkeeper Non-Profit Organization

  • Donation of new books for every single classroom at McAdenville Elementary
